  • Describe the property; share what guests love about your location, rooms, food, etc. Family-friendly Farmstay Cabins on the River

  • What's the property's most popular room/unit? Santa Fe Rail Car. Guests love staying in the Rail Car because of it's unique fun experience. It has been featured in many magazines including Texas Highways.

  • What's your busiest season? Summer

  • What's the hidden gem at your property or in your area? River walk to the Downtown Square. Fossil Rim, Big Rocks Park, Dinosaur Valley State Park

  • What's your favorite thing about working in hospitality? Watching families make memories around campfires, walking trails, barnyard animals, old-fashioned non-electronic fun

  • Could you share how being a lodging property manager has positively impacted your life/career? It has been immensely rewarding to see families engage in ways they might not in their normal daily routine as they get away to nature and enjoy activities together.

  • If you could give one piece of advice to someone interested in starting or running a business, what would you say? Make sure you really have a passion for hosting people and are ready for all the business entails including being "on call" round the clock to answer questions, meet needs and go the extra mile.

  • Anything else you'd like to share? We have been in business 25 years and love to see kids holding baby bunnies, reading in the children's library in the llama corral, walking in the bluebonnets by the Chapel and just enjoying nature. It feeds the soul!
